Mitch Rosenthal is a legendary Montreal-based podcaster with a remarkable past that bridges journalism, adventure, and broadcasting.

Known for his fearless approach to storytelling, Mitch first gained prominence as an underground journalist, covering the Quebec independence movement with gritty, first-hand accounts that resonated with a generation.

After a stint in the French Foreign Legion, where he served as both a scout and a mess cook, Mitch returned to the broadcast scene, launching The Mitch Rosenthal Show in 1987.

Initially a pirate radio transmission from the remote reaches of Hudson Bay, the show’s raw, unfiltered style caught the attention of listeners. After rising seas caused by climate change destroyed Camp Rose, Mitch eventually found a home on Radio-Canada.

In 2010, after an unfortunate disagreement with management over an order of poutine, Mitch transitioned the show into a podcast. Mitch took his distinctive voice to digital media, where he continues to captivate audiences worldwide with stories from the edge and a voice that’s as compelling as the tales he tells.
